Being one of the nine natural parks within the Belgrade Forest, Mehmet Akif Ersoy Natural Park derives its name from the famous Poet Mehmet Akif Ersoy. This natural park with an area of 23.10 hectares has a very rich flora and fauna. The dominant tree species in this park are mainly oak and alder ones.
THE ACTIVITIES THAT CAN BE DONE WITHIN THE PARK AREA
There is a country restaurant within the Mehmet Akif Ersoy Natural Park area for the families that will visit the park. Other facilities within the park area are a mini football (soccer) field, areas for daily use, and a playground for children. You can also do trekking or take a walk on the paths within the forest area. At the same time, there are other activity fields in the park for crowded groups of people. Such groups can have meetings, countryside weddings, special gatherings as well.
HOW TO ACCESS
Those who will come in their private cars can turn to the direction of Cayirbasi following the Bahcekoy route on the sign plates from the direction of Levent-Maslak. The main gate to the park in on the way between Bahcekoy and Cayirbasi. Those who want to utilize the public transport can take bus number “42 M” in order to arrive at Bahcekoy by way of Levent Buyukdere Street or as an alternative way they can use the subway (underground) from Yenikapi to Haciosman and take bus number “42 HM” at Haciosman to arrive at Bahcekoy, and then take a taxi at Bahcekoy to get to the Natural park.
