The Fatih Fountain Natural Park is situated on the way between Bahcekoy and Kemerburgaz. The park derives its name from the Ottoman Sultan Mohammed the Conqueror who is called Fatih Sultan Mehmet. And the story is that the Sultan came by this fountain in the park area for getting drinking water. The area of the park is approximately 29,50 hectares. Visitors come to the park throughout the year.
THE ACTIVITIES THAT CAN BE DONE WITHIN THE PARK AREA
At the entrance of the Natural Park there is a fountain with potable water, and within the park area, there are a rural restaurant and a café and areas to be used for various organizations and events, a play ground for children, picnic areas for daily use, car parking, a small mosque, and paths for trekking and taking a walk. There is also a rain shelter within the park area. Those visitors who want to be away from the stress of the city can feel relaxed in this natural park and enjoy the beauties of the nature which is open to the visitors throughout the year. The area is convenient for the sport of orienteering.
HOW TO ACCESS
You can get to this park which is very close to the Irmak Natural Park and Kirazlibent Natural Park on the route between Bahcekoy and Kemerburgaz.Those who want to utilize the public transport can take bus number “42 M” in order to arrive at Bahcekoy by way of Levent Buyukdere Street or as an alternative way they can use the subway (underground) from Yenikapi to Haciosman and take bus number “42 HM” at Haciosman to arrive at Bahcekoy, and then take a taxi at Bahcekoy to get to the Natural park.
