
Yoros Castle in Istanbul is one of the castles in Anatolia. Every year, domestic and foreign tourists continue to visit around the world. Even if some of its main points have become ruins, you can visit this castle, most of which is still standing.
Yoros Castle is among the most important cultures with a very old history. As a result of the archaeological studies, the castle was built in 1261, when Constantinople, the old name of Istanbul, was liberated from the Latin occupation. Built by Emperor 8th Mihael Paleologos, the castle came under the rule of the Turks in 1305, together with the castle of Şile. Although it was under the rule of the Genoese from 1348 to the 14th century, after this date it passed to the Ottoman Empire and has survived to the present day.
