Ayvat Bendi Natural Park

The name of this park is derived from the Ayvat Dam which was built in 1765 during the reign of the Ottoman Sultan Mustafa the Third. The Aqueduct called Kurt Kemeri built  during the Ottoman Empires, is woth seeing in this park area. This natural park, which has an area of 50 hectares always serves the visitors for various activities.

THE ACTIVITIES THAT CAN BE DONE WITHIN THE PARK AREA
Within the Ayvat Bendi Natural Park area are such facilities as car parking, picnic units, a stream, forest trekking track, a fountain, a buffet, a small mosque, a rural restaurant,arbors, picnic units, and a rain shelter. In the natural park area, there are also suitable places for daily use, and a stream which passes through the park area to be used for recreational purposes. Those who want to take a day off and be away from the tiring pace of the city can visit this park for having picnic, trekking or walking on the track within the park area. There is also a play ground for children within the park area. There are also facilities within the park area for those who want to do sports, and a bicycle track of 8,5 kilometres cycling trails for those who want to use cycling trails. Also the social facilities within the park area which belongs to the municipality of Eyup gives service to the visitors. The park area is also convenient for meetings and various other organizations. There are also some convenient places for champing around the Ayvat Dam.

HOW TO ACCESS
After entering the Belgrade Forest through the Kemerburgaz gate, you should follow the Kemerburgaz- Kurtkemeri route by way of Kemerburgaz-Ciftalan. Those who want to utilize the public transport can take bus number “42 M” in order to arrive at Bahcekoy by way of Levent Buyukdere Street or as an alternative way they can use the subway (underground) from Yenikapi to Haciosman and take bus number “42 HM” at Haciosman to arrive at Bahcekoy, and then take a taxi at Bahcekoy to get to the Natural park.
