Rumeli Feneri Castle; It was built in 1769 in order to protect the capital of the Ottoman Empire from the attacks that may develop from the north, at the entrance to the Bosphorus from the Black Sea.
The length of the Rumeli (Türkeli) Lighthouse, which is opposite the Anadolu Feneri on the Anatolian Side, is 30 meters high. During the construction of the lighthouse, which was built in 1856 in order to ensure safe passage of ships from the Black Sea to the Bosphorus, the tower collapsed several times; It is known that the mausoleum was built first and then the present lighthouse tower was built after the village elders said that it was destroyed because there is a shrine here.
Visitors can tour the castle in this fishing village for free and enjoy the unique scenery.
